Zulfiya Spowart

Zulfiya Spowart - formerly Abdulina Zulfiya, an artist from Uzbekistan.  was born and raised in the heart of Central Asia.  From early childhood, she knew that she would be an artist, despite the contradiction of cultural prejudices, this craft was considered not popular.

She studied at an art studio, then studied at the Republican College named after Benkov and then at the National Institute of Art and Design named after K Bekzod in the city of Tashkent. She studied painting, graphics and mural/wall painting, this time again going against gender bias. Today she has built a good career, becoming a renowned artist in her country, decorating a large number of institutions, offices and residential premises with her work.

Zulfiya successfully opened the first large public art studio in Uzbekistan with a partner, which continues its successful work to this day.  With past achievements and experience, she moved to the UK with her family and continues her work in a new location.  Her creative works are exotic, you can feel the breath of the east in them.
