Cameron Spowart

 

Cameron is a London born musician with an exciting and varied background. He was born into a musical family. He gained a music scholarship at Windsor Castle at the age of 8. He performed on a daily basis for royalty, singing at St.Georges Chapel. He also played the french horn in the national youth orchestra and performed on the piano, reaching grade 8 in both instruments.

He later developed an interest in electronic music and went on to complete a BAhons in Sound & Music Technology at Plymouth University in 2008. He has since completed two post-graduate degrees. The first being a PGCE in Secondary Music Education at The University of Greenwich in 2017. The second was an MMus in Performance & Related Studies (Piano) at Goldsmith’s College, University of London in 2023 (this course started in 2015 but had to be postponed following a severe injury).

During his time at Plymouth University, he performed as a DJ/live-artist regularly, releasing music on various record labels and helped develop and promote music events in the area.

After his graduation and a few years working within the radio broadcasting industry as a technical expert, he re-found his passion for the piano. Deciding to take on a masters in musical performance at the well established Goldsmiths College in London.

As a result of hand injuries, Cameron began working within education, continuing his private music tuition but also as a special education needs (SEN) assistant, before completing his secondary music education PGCE to become a fully qualified music teacher.

After many years of study, Cameron took the advantage of having time to travel and explored many countries, working when possible along the way. This travel resulted in a secondary teaching position in Uzbekistan in 2018, where he taught music for 3 years, met his wife and started a beautiful family with three daughters and large German Shepherd.

Now living and working in Watford with his family. He is offering a variety of musical services.

As a teacher, his drive is to enhance musical development in all ages. With such experience in many areas of music, Cameron is able to offer an extremely high standard of teaching.

As a musician, his drive is to create unique music, using all his different musical experience and abilities.
